Kemaro Island is located in Palembang, South Sumatera, exactly in the middle of the Musi river which divides the city of Palembang. Kemaro Palembang itself is a language, which means dry. According to the people of Palembang, called Kemaro island because the island has never flooded. Although the volume of water in the Musi river rises, the island Kemaro still dry. Kemaro Island is located in a delta that was in the middle of the Musi River, about 5 km upstream. In this island there is a tomb that is believed to be eating from Princess Sriwijaya Siti Fatimah who plunged into the Musi River.

According to the story, a long time ago a daughter of the king of Srivijaya named Siti Fatimah spoken by the son of the king of China had named Tan Bun Ann.
