Indonesia is rich in marine life ekosisem (Komodo National Park)

Area waters include 67% of the National Park. Indonesia is the only equatorial region in the world that has flora and fauna exchanges between the ocean waters. Trajectories in Nusa Tenggara (formerly the Lesser Sunda Islands) between the Sunda and Sahul plate allows movement between the Pacific and Indian oceans. TNK perhaps the Cetacean regular migration route.

 FLORA AND PLANT COASTAL waters
Variety of marine flora or vegetation near the shore are komodo national park, among others:
AlgaeAlgae are primitive plants, which have no roots, leaves or stems are. Algae has many different forms, such as the form of a string of fuzz up hard disk. Seaweed or algae that is. Species of algae of different algae are often classified as red, green or brown. Reef-forming algae is an important koralin red algae, which can remove hard limestone skeleton to wrap and cement dead coral into one.

Coral Reef.Coral reefs are composed of communities of plants and animals of different waters, both the living and the dead. Physical structure of reefs consist mainly of limestone from hard coral skeleton. After so long, broken pieces of coral skeleton and calcium carbonate material is cemented by a similar meeting of red coral and algae by magnesium calcite particles found in sea water. TNK Coral reefs are important habitat for about 1,000 species of fish, more than 250 species of reef-forming corals, and at least 105 spesisi crustaceans / crustaceans and 70 species of sponges. These three main types of coral reefs in TNK is: reef edge, reef and hill taka sea.

Examples of existing coral reefs in the TNK

Flower Coral.Sponge is an animal which is simple and primitive state, which existed long before the coral reefs grow. Sponge sponge made of fibers with a hard spikula in it to give shape to the beast. Sponges have hundreds or thousands of small holes and one or several huge holes in his body. Some flowers are brightly colored corals and a few others with zooxanthellae in the network brownish or darker. Eat sponges through the filter. They have canals in the body that contains the cell tail. These cells are able to wag its tail to create a vacuum so that the water drawn in through small holes sponges. Water was filled with microscopic plankton and bacteria, which are used by the sponge as food. Then water pushed out through the holes of large sponges. Sponges are able to pump thousands of liters of water a day through his body. They grow best in areas with strong currents carrying plankton as their food. There were over 10,000 species of sponges are known in the world, and at least 70 species found in TNK during rapid ecological assessment undertaken by the TNK in 1995.

SEA MAMMALS
TNK marine mammals including dolphins, whales and mermaids. All of these animals give birth and breast-feeding her child the same as terrestrial mammals. They must rise to the surface to breathe, although capable of living under water for long periods. Dugong and various types of dolphins and whales as endangered, either by hunting / fishing or by changes in the ecosystem.etc...
